Yes, Virginia, there WAS a
2011 CRANBERRY GATHERING
Not
in VA, tho
This encourages
us to announce that
2012 Will be held July 27, 28, & 29
MEMO
#1638
FROM: Pres.
TO: Webmaster
How
about putting something at the top of the home page
to let people know that the pink (faded cranberry?)
evaluation forms, which we greatly appreciated people
filling out, where overwhelmingly positive about the
Gathering in general and about our NEW HOME at SUNY
Cobleskill in particular. We're already working on a
few improvements for next year so that things will be
even BETTER.
A thank you to the "Coby Elves" would be good.
They're 4 women from the university staff who worked
tirelessly throughout the entire weekend to make our
time there as positive as possible despite the fact
of coping in a new environment and doing it in record-breaking
heat. A major thing they did was zoom around the campus
in golf carts and gators giving rides to anyone who
looked like they could use one to get from building
to building. We did as much as we could with the schedule
to avoid the necessity of having to move from one building
to another, but couldn't make it completely unnecessary.
Everyone who was there should be aware of the use of
the term "Elves" and they can start getting
used to "Coby" since Cobleskill is way to
long - and I've used it a bit already. Those Elves really
were amazing - way above and beyond, both over the year
of planning and the Gathering!
Of course, a thank you to everyone who came and to all
who volunteered to work on the pre-planning and at the
Gathering itself would be good. Also those who bid on
Silent Auction items and shopped at the vendors tables,
or donated snacks for concert intermissions. And the
Featured Performers and workshop leaders.
Then you could tell them that we plan to be back at
the same location on July 27, 28, 29 of 2012 and that
while we wait for new info to be available, those big
green buttons will provide info about what Cranberry
is all about.

As usual the details are being wrestled out hourly. It's like
the NYS budget.
Likely, there are things YOU can do to hasten the process.
So e-mail the Langleys (below) and offer to help.

HERE IS THE SKINNY!
